Sistem operasi mobile terbaru Apple, iOS7, akhirnya takluk di tangan "evad3rs". Kelompok komunitas hacker tersebut merilis tool jailbreak bernama evasi0n7 untuk OS tersebut.
Sebagaimana dikutip dari The Telegraph, software tersebut diklaim mampu men-jailbreak perangkat iPhone, iPad, atau iPod yang menjalankan sistem operasi iOS versi 7.0 hingga 7.0.4.
Proses jailbreak memungkinkan pengguna perangkat iOS memasang software dari sumber selain Apple App Store. Aplikasi yang di-install pun tak harus mendapatkan izin resmi dari Apple, termasuk buatan pihak ketiga.
Tool evasi0n7 bisa digunakan di komputer berbasis Windows, Mac OS X, atau Linux. Perangkat iOS yang akan "dibobol" dihubungkan ke komputer melalui kabel USB. Prosesnya hanya memakan waktu 5 menit.
