Terus Merugi, Blackberry Jual Gedung

Fakta Blackberry terus merugi memang tak bisa dibantah. Mereka gagal total dalam penjualan smartphone-nya tahun ini. Demi menekan biaya operasional yang terus membengkak, perusahaan asal Kanada itu telah menjual lima gedung miliknya yang bila ditotal senilai Rp 500 miliar.

Pada kuartal ketiga tahun ini, Blackberry dilaporkan merugi USD 4,4 miliar. Mereka hanya mampu menjual 1,9 juta unit smartphone yang angkanya jauh turun jika dibandingkan tahun lalu yang mampu mencapai penjualan 3,7 juta unit.

Bahkan tersiar kabar jika akibat kerugian ini Blackberry harus membatalkan merilis dua perangkat mereka yang telah dikembangkan tahun ini. Blackberry dengan kode nama ‘Kopi’ dan ‘Cafe’ batal di-launching dengan pelbagai pertimbangan yang salah satunya adalah dana.
